What is Hassle Free Music Licensing?

Westar Music is proud to pioneer a new type of production music licensing - the Hassle Free License.

While the Westar Music Library is a leased music product, it is provided on an unlimited, non-exclusive and in perpetuity basis, according to the terms and conditions of our End User License Agreement. This lifetime blanket license is for synchronization rights only - and you may synchronize our music within a wide variety of audio and/or visual productions or applications such as:

•     film, video & TV productions
•     training, marketing & trade show presentations
•     corporate videos & educational applications
•     on hold messages & advertising
•     radio presentations & commercials
•     television programs & commercials
•     musical recordings & live performances
•     Web pages & multimedia presentations
•     PowerPoint & Flash productions
•     interactive programs & computer games
•     AV & computer generated displays
•     podcasts

You may create copies of your production for distribution without limitations - there are no additional clearances or paperwork required. Synchronize any of our music tracks an unlimited number of times and distribute your productions worldwide without restrictions. The rights granted by your Westar Music license are in effect for the life of your production, and they pass automatically to your production's end users.

No additional or separate licensing is required if you edit your original production to add more music, or create a version of the production in another language. You may use a licensed Westar Music track an unlimited number of times in as many productions as you wish. No additional fees are required for multiple uses, revisions, or for the creation of additional productions, as long as your uses of our music comply with the terms and conditions of the Westar Music End User License Agreement.

Please note that all rights not expressly granted by our End User License Agreement are reserved. Contact us to purchase a Custom License option for the creation of products like:

ringtones, wireless games, wireless multimedia content, other mobile communications or entertainment applications, iTunes Apps, computer games, Web applications, content offered in software packages, retail toys, electronic sampling products or program chips, or premium and promotional CDs and other items.

If you use Westar Music in broadcast productions, feature films or live theatre presentations, you should submit production cue sheets to your local performing rights society and to Westar Music. There are no extra charges whatsoever associated with sending in cue sheets. Please see our Cue Sheets page for more information.
